Bouchon Bakery Las Vegas

by Adam Bryan on January 9, 2012

A few days ago, I experienced possibly one of the best pastries I’ve ever had…and it happened by accident. As I was visiting the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas looking for the box office to pick up my tickets for Phantom, I ran into a small little shop called Bouchon Bakery. I’ve heard many great things about this place, especially its shops in New York City, so I decided to give it a try. After browsing their various selections, a special treat caught my eye…the vanilla macaroon. Now at first glance, this macaroon appears to be very small.  I was a little disappointed at the fact that it costed me almost four bucks, but it all changed once I took the first bite. The macaroon was crispy on the outside and very soft and chewy on the inside. It sort of reminded me of a chewy rice crispy treat combined with a vanilla wafer, all covered by a vanilla sugar coating. Even though this dessert was small in size, it was huge in flavor. I will definitely be returning to Bouchon Bakery soon so I can indulge on some of their other treats.  So if you are ever in the Venetian or even Las Vegas, be sure to swing by Bouchon Bakery and spoil yourself with a sweet treat.

A selection of thier many macaroons
There are many flavors of macaroons that you can try. I will definitely need to go back and try them all!
Here’s Bouchon Bakery’s selection of pastries and sandwiches.
I really want to try one of their cupcakes too.

Now don’t get me wrong. As much as I enjoyed Bouchon Bakery, it’s still not as amazing and artful as Jean Philippe Patisserie. But the macaroons truly speak for it’self.

I couldn't agree more. French bakeries have to be the best and this is one of my favorites here in NYC.
